When AdBlue faults persist after component repairs, or when the ECU is misreading system data, recalibration is required. We carry out professional AdBlue ECU recalibration on-site across the West Midlands using manufacturer-level diagnostic software.
Professional software-level access to your vehicle's ECU — not generic scan tools.
Manufacturer-level access. Accurate recalibration. Confirmed with live data before we leave.
A sample of the ECU recalibration work we carry out across the West Midlands.
NOx sensor replaced by a main dealer but warning returned within a week. ECU recalibration not carried out after replacement. Recalibration completed on-site. Fault has not returned.
Multiple AdBlue fault codes with no clear component failure. ECU live data analysis identified a software misread. Recalibration carried out and all codes confirmed clear.
AdBlue system faults alongside limp mode. ECU module diagnostic identified calibration drift. Recalibration resolved both the AdBlue warning and limp mode simultaneously.
Recurring AdBlue fault after two previous pump replacements elsewhere. ECU recalibration identified as the missing step each time. Carried out on-site. No further faults.
Main dealer replaced the sensor but didn't calibrate it. These guys came out and sorted what the dealer missed. Brilliant.
Explained the difference between a code clear and a proper recalibration. Finally makes sense why the fault kept coming back.
Limp mode and AdBlue warning both gone after one visit. Wish I'd found them before spending money elsewhere.
Third time fixing the same fault — first time it's actually stayed fixed. Recalibration was the missing piece every time.
ECU recalibration costs vary depending on the vehicle, the ECU architecture, and the depth of recalibration required.

ECU recalibration is the process of updating or resetting the software values within your vehicle's engine control unit so it correctly recognises and communicates with AdBlue system components. Without it, a replaced NOx sensor or AdBlue pump may not be recognised correctly by the ECU — which is why so many AdBlue faults return after component repairs carried out without the correct calibration step.
Modern diesel ECUs store adaptation values and calibration data for each sensor and component. When a part is replaced, the ECU needs to learn the new component's characteristics and update its software values accordingly. Skipping this step is one of the most common causes of AdBlue warnings returning within days or weeks of a repair.
If your AdBlue warning has returned after a component was already replaced elsewhere, recalibration is very likely the missing step. If multiple fault codes are appearing simultaneously without a clear hardware failure, a software-level issue is also a strong possibility. We carry out a full live data diagnostic before recommending any route.
Yes. We carry out all ECU recalibration work fully on-site at your home, workplace, or wherever the vehicle is located across the West Midlands using professional manufacturer-level diagnostic software. There's no need to arrange a garage visit or vehicle recovery.
