AdBlue Pump Repair
Mobile across Birmingham & the West Midlands

The AdBlue pump pressurises and meters AdBlue into the exhaust. When it fails or blocks, the system can’t dose — so you get warnings, limp mode and a no-restart countdown. We come to you, diagnose whether it’s the pump, the lines or the dosing module, and repair or replace it on-site. Road-legal, and done at your home, work or yard.

What does the AdBlue pump do — and how does it fail?

The AdBlue (DEF) pump draws fluid from the tank, pressurises it and meters precise doses to the injector in the exhaust. Pumps fail from wear, internal blockages or crystallised AdBlue, and from electrical faults. When dosing stops, the ECU throws AdBlue warnings, drops into limp mode and starts a no-restart countdown. We diagnose whether the fault is the pump itself, the supply lines or the dosing module, then carry out the correct repair or replacement and confirm dosing is restored.

Signs of an AdBlue pump fault

These point to the pump or dosing side of the system. Our guide walks through common AdBlue pump faults and your options in more detail.

AdBlue warning & countdown

Warnings and a no-restart countdown when the system can’t dose.

AdBlue level not dropping

The tank level barely moves because nothing is being injected.

Limp mode

Reduced power as the ECU protects the engine.

Dosing & pressure codes

Fault codes pointing to dosing pressure or pump circuit problems.

Repeated sensor changes that don’t fix it

Warnings that persist even after a new NOx sensor — often the pump or module.

Audible pump issues

A pump that runs constantly, or not at all, on key-on.

Pump, module or lines?

We confirm exactly which before replacing anything.

AdBlue pump

Worn, blocked or electrically faulty pumps that stop metering AdBlue — repaired or replaced.

Dosing module

The control unit that meters AdBlue; when it fails, warnings persist after a new sensor or pump.

Supply lines & tank

Blocked or crystallised lines, or tank-side faults, that starve the pump — checked and cleared.

AdBlue pump repair — common questions

Quick answers before you book.

What are the symptoms of an AdBlue pump fault?

AdBlue warnings and a no-restart countdown, the tank level not dropping, limp mode, and dosing or pressure fault codes. A scan of live dosing data confirms it.

Do you repair or replace the pump?

It depends on the fault — some are repairable, others need a replacement pump. We confirm with live data first and quote before any work, so you don’t pay for parts you don’t need.

How much does AdBlue pump repair cost?

It varies by vehicle and whether the pump, module or lines are at fault, so we always quote up front. Tell us your make, model and year.

Which vehicles do you cover?

All major diesel makes — very common on Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, VW Crafter, Vauxhall and PSA vans, plus cars and light commercials.

The warning came back after a new NOx sensor — is it the pump?

Often, yes. If a new sensor hasn’t fixed it, the dosing pump or module is the next most likely cause — we diagnose to confirm.

Which areas do you cover?

We’re fully mobile across Birmingham & the West Midlands — Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Walsall, Solihull, West Bromwich, Sutton Coldfield, Cannock and the surrounding areas, and further afield by arrangement.
